Boxing

The Rodney P. Hunt Boxing Academy is one of many new additions to the Capital Sports Complex.  The Prince George’s County facility is fully equipped with a stationary floor mounted ring, several speed and heavy bags, and a boxing  trainer for all ages.  Just recently the Capital Sport Complex played host to the “Silver Gloves” amateur boxing exhibition featuring boxers from throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia; some of the best in the boxing business have worked their way up through the ranks via events such as “Silver Gloves” and “Golden Gloves” and we look forward to many future event of this nature.

Rodney P. Hunt Boxing Academy Summer Camp      (9 weeks)

 Starting: June 20th – Ending: August 15th  (Drop Off 8:00 a.m. – Pick Up 5:00 p.m.)
 Ages: 8 – 16 Years Of Age

Daily Schedule
8:00 a.m.            Drop Off                                              (Attendance Call)
8:30 a.m.            Morning Exercise                          (Stretching, Running, Shadow Boxing)
9:30 a.m.            Morning Snack                                (Bathroom, Water Break)
10:00 a.m.          Conditioning                                     (Heavy and Speed Bag Training)
11:00 a.m.           Lunch                                                    (All Lunch Should Be Sent From Home)
12:00 p.m.           Relaxation Time                              (Games & DVD’s)  All Movies Shown Will Be “G” Or “PG-13”
1:00 p.m.              Afternoon Training                        (Stretching, Running, Shadow Boxing)
3:00 p.m.            Fun Time                                              (Games, Basketball, Videos)
4:00 p.m.              Mitt Work                                            (Training)
4:45 p.m.               Pick Up                                             (Clean Up & Down Time)
5:00 p.m
